Fall x Drop: Qual a diferença

Obrigado.

-He dropped dead and I can't do anything to help him.

-These apples dropped by the tree today... I've been waiting for this for a long time...

- What hour may I drop by your house to pick up you for Flavia's party?

- London Bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down!!!

- I'm falling love for Helaine. Can she noticed that? (Eu estou apaixonado pela Helaine. Ela percebeu isso?)

It's simple, there are no difference for me both mean the same "fall over" and "fall", these two words mean that you're falling from somewhere like a (cliff, mountain, stairs.)

Cheers!

I have seen it used with over + backwards or with over + oneself as in,

"Juliana's uncle fell over backwards to make her wedding reception a memorable event."
"... fell over himself..."

MW3[1] says the Scottish use it with over when they turn in for the night. (turn in = go to bed : sleep). BUT someone may get hurt if he accidentally falls over the neighbor's white picket fence belly first. Or die if he falls off Pico da Bandeira's cliff.
