Olá Pessoal,
"TIA" é a abreviação de "Thanks In Advance". Para "tia" em inglês temos obviamente "aunt" que pode ter a mesma pronúncia de "ant"(formiga).

Hey, for every TIA there exists a WIA (Welcome In Advance).
Also the forum mod should move the whole thread to the Falsos Cognatos section, as it clearly discusses two words common to both languages yet with different meanings.
