Gramática da Música Human
Olá pessoal,
Por que que na música human do The killers é dito "Are we human? Or are we dancer?" . Não deveria ser "are we humans? Or are we dancers?" , no plural? Ví a letra em vários sites e todas vem assim, no singular, e se você escutar a musica também percebe que ele não fala o S. Isso seria de alguma forma o mesmo motivo pelo qual nós dizemos "we are beautiful" e não "we are beautifuls" , é por que nesse caso o human e dancer é adjetivo e não substantivo?

They might have meant a coletive sense. Fact is, "human" really may have a plural form, depending on the meaning.
As for dancer, he might have meant a class/category.
Anyway, it could be just a music thing, when it comes to music everything is allowed, mauling grammar included.
Now I leave the ball on the experts court. See you around.

Singulars with collective meaning treated as plural[edit]
A number of words like army, company, crowd, fleet, government, majority, mess, number, pack, and party may refer either to a single entity or the members of the set composing it. If the latter meaning is intended, the word (though singular in form) may be treated as if it were a plural, in that it may take a plural verb and be replaced with a plural pronoun: the government are considering their position (alternatively the government is considering its position).

APRESENTAÇÃO PESSOAL EM INGLÊS
Pode falar, "are we human", mas não "are we dancer". No segundo, "are we dancers" está correta.
Como disse o Paulo, essa escrita tem haver com a música, foi feita propositalmente assim por alguma razão. É o que chamam de "licença poética".
Seginho, no entanto, eles falam claramente, ARE WE DANCER. Obrigado pessoal.
Acho q a explicação de Sypher tem razão. Eh "licença poetica", mas a gramatica é ruim.
