Not to wild's expert survivalist Bear Grylls. BG eats snails alive when the going gets tough. What would you do out in the wilderness having nothing to eat but a couple of tasty fat snails in sight? You wouldn't pass up such a morsel, would you?
Yes, I have eaten escargot, it was served in a butter and cognac sauce, and was very good until I found out what it was. Later, after my stomach calmed down, I decided that it really was good, but I can not afford escargot as a staple, and have not had it since, but I would eat "snails" again if I have the opportunity.

Ravenna,

I think you should try something like this for your second sentence; "I have never eaten anything like snails, and I'm sure I will never will!"

The change is partly; grammar, contex, and style.

I hope you can make sense of this.

^^ Okay...^^
Hi!

No way! I think (actually, I'm sure) that I will never eat snails!
The consistency should be horrible! I don't know how I say: "muito mole" ou "me dá aflição".
I think that I will "talk to the toilet" (I don't know if "vaso sanitário" is toilet) if I eat this.

Kisses,
Dany

Dany,

I have never heard the expression "talk to the toilet" but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT as a substitute for regurgitate, vomit, throw up or puke (all synonyms in decending order of politenesss).

I would like to see the third sentence read "I think that I would talk to the toilet."

No, I have never eaten snails. Although its a very strange dish I would try one day if I had chance to.
In my opinion, it's all cultural. For example, in China , they are used to eating dogs and in Philippines they eat "Balut egg" which is a fertilized duck (or chicken) egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside that is boiled and eaten in the shell.

Good morning Ailime,

Try this one on for size. (An American colloquial expression meaning, See if you like this." :D ;) )

No, I have never eaten snails. Although it would appear to be a very strange dish, I would like to try it some day, if I have the chance to do so. In my opinion, it's all cultural. Two examples are; in China dog meat is considered a delicacy, and the Philippines a favorite delicacy is "Balut eggs", which are whole fertilized duck (or chicken) eggs with a nearly developed embryo that are boiled and eaten in the shell.

Bill,

Good afternoon!
Yes, I like it very much!
Thank you!
Hi, Bill!

When I regurgitated, I say that I talk to the toilet!
And thank you for the help! ^^

Kisses,
Dany
Dany,

The correct construction is "When I have regugitated" past tense or "When I regurgitate".
Ohhhh! It seems a little crazy.. O_O I think I just like normal food to eat. HAHA (:
Argh! I've never eatten, but I'm sure it's DISGUSTING :?

Well, I have never eaten snails and don't enjoy eat them someday, because I don't have stomach to eat exotic dish and to me snail dish is that. I don't remember if I have ever eaten some dish much different of what I use to.
It's not a good behavior, because certainly someday I will have to eat snails or other strange dish and can suffer due to that. So, it would be a kind opportunity to change my way tasting snails. It is better taste in common situations, with family and friends. More, many foods have a bad aspect and we eat them normally, then snails can be one of them.

Have you thought about feijoada? This is the ugliest food I've ever seen! How come one has courage to eat that black thing???
Hehe... I love feijoada! :)
Flávia,
Yes, I have thought about feijoada... it's just one example of many.
Well, feijoada is a example about not judging one thing in face of your aspect.
No, and I hope I'll never eat one, it's disgusting and, moreover, I don't like killing live animals!

Hi there!

a little contribution:

How about snake stew?

Can you imagine yourself having some?

Imagem

Say one day a businessperson invites you for dinner. It's a special dinner in which one of the biggest CEO's on earth is interested in doing business with your emerging-market company. Unfortunately, there's something that keeps bothering you as you can hardly pay attention to the man's speech, talking about his family and wife. The main course dinner is snake stew. The man keeps saying snake stew is one of his favorite dishes but you can feel your stomach getting upset just by listening to the combination of words snake + stew.

Now, imagine that elongate, legless carnivorous reptile - dish going down you throat as the host seems to be h deliciously enjoying his meal.

Hope I'll never go through this someday. lol

Daniel

I've never eaten snails, so I can't say if it is good or not. If I have an opportunitty, maybe I'll try to taste some, just to be able to have an opinion about it.

No, where I live there is no places that sell or restaurants.
I tried once but I couldn't. If I was French would be easier :P
No, I haven't. And I never will. Thank God!
No, I have never eaten snails. First because i don´t eat meat and second because i think this animal is very disgusting as a meal.
