"High"' para falar de comida estragada

OEstudantedeIngles 2 16 113
Hey you all =) Look, I discovered that ''High'' can also mean that foods or drinks are not good to eat any longer. My dictionary says that it happens more in British English, but I'm curious, Do americans say that too?

''I think this rice is a bit high, we'll have to throw it out
''Do you think the meal is high?'''

It meant foul or bad rice, with that characteristic high-scented smell.
The "yourdictionary.com" has an example used to meat, but it´s no surprise it has gone to other culinary items. Since it has this meaning:

BTW, I myself had not seen "high" to talk about rotten/spoiled food.
Very good !
