Much x Far: em comparativos: far better, far easier, etc

I would like know when I use it much or far in situation the comparatives?
Because Until I understood that much it is used in people and far it is used in objects.
That is correct?

Hello, Andre! Actually, "far better" and "much better" have similar meanings; however, "far better" is more intense than "much better".
