Never + verbo to be: Como utilizar
Tenho visto algumas frases em que o verbo to be é usado antes de "never" e outras depois. É opcional ou tem regra?
Exemplos:
She really never is alone;
But he never is far away from a ramp;
The EU is never very far away!
Power is never in the possession of an individual.
Obrigado.

Hello =) Olha, sempre vejo o never depois do ''To be''
''She's never alone'' - ''He's never sad'' ''He's never smilling''. As far as I now, that's the correct form to use never with the verb be. To me, She never is would sound a bit strange.. It don't mean that you can't say ''never is'' yet I think you ought to use ''Is never'' ''Am never'' ''Are never''. Alright?
Cheers

Não só o "never", mas qualquer advérbio de frequência poder ser usado antes ou depois do verbo ser/estar. Mas o sentido muda. Veja os alguns exemplos:
She’s always late for everything. => Ela está sempre atrasada para tudo.
Agora, quando há ênfase, o advérbio vem antes do verbo:
She always is late for everything => Ela é a pessoa mais atrasada do mundo*. (Traduzi evidenciando a ênfase).
*Ela sempre está atrasada para tudo (literal).
