I´m not against people translating the things they learn into their first laguage.There are teachers who create a lot of "taboos" regarding how you should learn a second language,the best-known "taboo" is that "you must never translate into" the first language what you learn.I´ve worked with all the known methods on how to teach a second language,and the difficulties the students have are ALWAYS the same,regardless of the technique.What matters most is the fluency you acquire and the quality of what you learn.Learning does not depend on methods only.It does really depend on dedication.
