Plural em inglês: Regras básicas
Às vezes não entendo algumas regras do plural. Algumas palavras específicas como li aqui anteriormente. Ex: Arrive X arrives. Às vezes não consigo distinguir quando e como usar da melhor forma. Se alguém puder me explicar não só o que não pode ser feito, mas também o porquê, vou ser muito grata. Obrigada!

It's not a case of plural there, it's the 'combo' verb x pronoun, in conjugation:
I arrive
You arrive
He/She/it arrives
You arrive
We arrive
They arrive
So, in the third person singular HE/SHE/IT goes with an "s" at the end of the verb, but it is translated into (ela/ele) "chega" in Portuguese, so it's not about plural itself, but about a verb tense (tempo verbal).
I hope this helps.
