- if the adverb is one word (fell, eat), the adverb usually goes before the verb.
e.g.: I also like meat.
-but adverbs go after am, is, are, was, were.
e.g.: they were feeling very tired and we were also hungry.
-if the verb is two or more words the adverbs goes after the first verb:
e.g.: I'll also be at home.
