Posse e Plural

É possível indicar posse de forma simples colocando o possuidor na frente da coisa possuída ligados pelo 's
Por exemplo: The Jane's car (O carro de Jane) Mas e quando a coisa possuída está no plural, seria correto escrever 'Jane's cars'?
Soa estranho.
Outra dúvida: por que os americanos muitas vezes abandonam o 's para indicar posse, por exemplo: Jennifer Garden ao invés de Jennifer's Garden. É só uma foma coloquial ou também é aceito normalmente?

Yes, one could say "Jane´s cars."

To me, we would prefferably use "Jennifer´s Garden" (Garden -in Jennifer Garden can be understood as a middle name or something.)
Anyway, it can be found like this (spoken and colloquial language can be tricky sometimes and it´s not supposed to follow the rules of the written one).
Another similar topic, is the non usage of apostrophe in expressions like "New York cuisine" etc, where in fact "New York" adjective the cuisine (a type of cuisine, the one from New York). So, that´s how the non usage of apostrophe is explained. I mean it´s about adjetification, not possession.
