Maneiras de dizer valores em inglês
Pessoal..
Uma dúvida que surgiu agora, dps de vários anos estudando Inglês...
Tava vendo um filme e a atriz falou "It's two seventy-five"
E ela quis dizer que custa $275 ..
Essa maneira não poderia confundir com $2,75 ? Porque não me lembro das pessoas usando "It's two and seventy-five cents"
Lembro que quando eu estava no Canadá apenas falavam "It's three twenty-five"
Entendem o que quero dizer?
Outra, qual a maneira mais usual de expressar por exemplo ..
115,000 (One Hundred Fifteen Thousand?)
1,500 (Fifteen hundred?)
Obrigado.

TFernades,
If the relative values are well known, it's ok to use a short form. For example:
A: I want to get a new LCD screen for my desktop.
B: Look, this one is only one fifty.
So you hear the short form a lot, because people often know when we mean tens or hundreds.
Yes, that's the general way of saying 115,000 or 1,500 (which could also be one thousand five hundred).
