Tradução de expressões sobre comida em Inglês

Hello guys!

I'm not sure if this is the right place to create this topic, but I didn't find any other that I could put this kind of information, so if I created wrong, I'm sorry!

I was studying English in the LiveMocha and I found some interesting idioms that use food! Maybe we can translate this to Portuguese as it's a very informal vocabulary. By the way, I also want to know if this idioms are really used by native English speakers, do you guys know?

PS: I did this summary(?), so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Idioms with food

• Piece of cake
- Something very easy to do.
- Ex: That match was a piece of cake!

• A rotten apple
- Someone who's dishonest
- Ex: It only takes one rotten apple to give the whole industry a bad name.

• A smart cookie
- Someone who's intelligent and confident
- Ex: He is a smart cookie because he learned very fast the new program

• Beef something up
- To improve something, make more stronger or more interesting
- Ex: After a number of bank robberies, we decided to beef up security.

• Butter someone up
- To say nice things to someone so she (he) will do what you want
- Ex: You need her help, so butter her up and she will help you

• Go Bananas
- To become very angry or excited
- Ex: He'll go bananas if you forget his birthday again

• Have egg on your face
- To be embarrassed or seem stupid because of something that you did or said
- Ex: She has egg on her face after what she said there.

• Pie in the sky
- An idea or plan that you think will never happen
- Ex: You plan is totally pie in the sky!

• Small potatoes
- Something that is not very important
- Ex: His little business is small potatoes compared to huge corporations

• Sour grapes
- Bad atitute that makes people criticize what they can't have
- Ex: She said Bob shouldn't have gotten a raise, but that was just sour grapes because the boss didn't give her one.
