Present Perfect - when x since: Qual utilizar?
Boa noite pessoal. Eu estou tentando aprender inglês através de uma prova e estou com dúvida na seguinte pergunta:
I have lived in Sydney ________________ I was a young child.
Não sei se posso responder WHEN ou se é o SINCE. Aprendi na escola que só posso usar o SINCE ou FOR quando
temos o Present Perfect.
Muito obrigada pela ajuda.

Anita,
Neste caso, use "since":
I have lived in Sydney since I was a young child.
Eu moro em Sydney desde que era criança.

Talvez isto te ajude com o present perfect.
Sim, certamente "since" nesse caso.
Mas 'since' (significando desde) pode aparecer com um presente contínuo, por exemplo:
"Germany is marking 50 years since the building of the Berlin Wall when the communist East closed its border, dividing the city for 28 years." http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-14514916
'Since', dependendo do tempo verbal, e da construção, apresenta sentidos diversos:
I love music since it is good for the soul. = I love music because it is good for the soul.
In fact, I have loved music since I was quite young. = desde
He is taking her car since his is being repaired. = He is taking her car because his is being repaired.
He took her car yesterday since his wasn't available. = He took hers car yesterday because his wasn't available.
Yes, he has had her car since yesterday. = desde

Perfeito amigos. Muito obrigada mesmo.
Eu usaria o WHEN se a frase estivesse no passado né?
Como: I lived in Sydney when I was a young child. Né?
Obrigada mesmo!!
