Pronúncia de palavras com ''Wh-'': Com ou sem som de H?

Hi guys!

Quero saber a real pronúncia das seguintes palavras: What, When, Where, Why, While.

Meu professor disse que as palavras mencionadas são pronúnciadas com som de "H" como em "How", porém, sempre que ouço não percebo o som do "H".

Quero saber se isso acontece no idioma inglês ou em determinado país?

Valeu!

Gelson,

As duas maneiras são possíveis. Com o som do "H" e sem ele. Veja o que disse um norte americano sobre o assunto:

Is it necessary to pronounce an h sound in a wh- spelling? Not usually

I've been asked a number of times if the h sound needs to be represented in the pronunciation of the wh spelling. Is the word what, w-h-a-t, pronounced as what or hwhat? The short and simple answer is to pronounce the word as what, with no h sound. However, this is not a universal American pronunciation; some dialects of American English, spoken in the southeastern part of the United States, do say hwhat, but that pronunciation is significantly less common. - Pronuncian.com
