Qual é a diferença entre Livelihood e Living?

Pessoa Poderia Me Dizer Em Português Mesmo a Diferença de Livelihood e Living (substantivo) ?

Ex:1 - He earned a/his living as a cook
E:-2 - Many fishermen believe that the new regulations threaten their livelihoods.

This is not in dictionaries or something, but I think of livelihood would be use in a more all-encompassing, in a more broadly and permanent sense.
Whereas with living it could be about the job (for example) or source of income, including in current terms.
So, it´s way more likely that people ask you the question "what do you do for a living" that some senteence with "livelihood" in it. Conversely, "livelyhood" is very used with serious questions and issues with more lasting effects.
The examples Redseahorse has given are good examples to illustrate and make the point, "living" is usually more in terms of "no que você ganha dinheiro/qual sua renda/qual sua ocupação" and "livelyhood" as "subsistência".

Anyway, there is some (maybe few) cases in which there are intersections of meaning and usage.
