Reported speech: Como utilizar?
Pessoal, estou aqui estudando Reported speech atraves de exercicios em um site. Porem fiquei em duvida na minha resposta e o que o site considera o correto:
“Could you tell me where the post office is?”
eu: She asked me if I could tell her where the post office was
site: She asked me to tell her where the post office was
a minha resposta nao está certa mesmo ou seria uma outra forma de responder?

Na minha opinião, as duas formas podem ser usadas. Não vejo problemas com a sua forma.

I don't know that there is much difference, but In this case it's perhaps a little more frequent to use the conflated form "where's" because the significant marker in the sentence is the word "where." The verb "is" can be muted because it's adding virtually nothing in terms of meaning.
The original question might just as well have come out as
Could you tell me where's the post office?
