É apenas sorte/é uma questão de sorte. (em contraste com "por escolha" ou por fatores que fazem algo acontecer de uma maneira esperada/propensa a acontecer (previsível ou quase).

It's just luck of the draw literally would be something like "é apenas a sorte do sorteio", but most of the time it´s metaphorically used.
