E essas:

O estado de saúde dela é preocupante

Obrigado.

Só para complementar os exemplos já dados:

Tive uma semana cansativa
I’ve had an exhausting week.
I’ve had a quite tiring week.
I’ve had a very tiring week.

Today has been a quite tiring day.
Today has been a wearying day.

As últimas horas foram pensativas.
Em inglês, esta sentença não ficaria correta:
The last hours have been thoughtful.
Não usamos o adjetivo pensativo neste contexto. (sozinho sem um complemento na frase)
Ref. sentence.yourdictionary
Para o uso do adjetivo thoughtful :
He has spent thoughtful hours …...
He has spent the last hours in a thoughtful manner.
He has spent the last hours thoughtfully ….
He has spent the last hours deep in thought.
The last hours have been of deep reflection.
The last hours have been of deep thoughts.

O estado de saúde dela é preocupante
Her healthy condition is alarming/worrying.
Existe: Festa chata. Festa legal. Festa horrível.
Her party was boring.
Her party was cool.
Her party was horrible.

Este adjetivo seria melhor assim:
A angustiante escolha de uma mãe.
The anguishing choice of a mother.
A angustiante espera...
The anguishing wait ...
A fala dele foi marcante.
His speech was outstanding.
His speech was breathless.
His speech was quite remarkable.
His speech was meaningful.
His speech was striking.

The expressions could be, tiresome "cansativa"
I have a tiresome week.
I really had a tiresome week.
Are you having a tiresome week?
Today was a tiresome day, I am exhaust!

After the accident she is in a worrying state.
Her party was not very exciting, lots of boring and not interesting people.
Her speech/line/announcement etc was remarkable (or - good/touching etc...).

From your question about verbal tenses, it makes me think that, sometimes, you think about English in a simplistic way. As you see, in my first examples (the ones with "semana cansativa/dia cansativo", it could be in several tenses.
So, it's more pratical to learn the tense first then the expressions, than the other way around.
It would be even harder to try to learn the possible combinations of both at the same time.

Hi Charles!

Tired = cansado. Exhausted = exausto
I am really tired this week.
She is so exhausted that she is not goint to the party.

Tiring = cansativo. Exhausting = exaustivo
The movie was tiring.
That football match was exhausting.
Note: o filme e a partida provocaram cansaço e exaustão.

Outras opções:
Preocupante: causa preocupação Worrying
Preocupado: Worried
Anguishing/anguished

Já alguns adjetivos vão usar sufixo -FUL:
Thoughtful: considerate or full of thoughts...

Cheers!

Excepcional sua explicação Cinnamon.

Obrigado pelas dicas e pela observação Paulo.

Vou procurar por outros sufixos aqui no site.
