O ''no" diz que não há nenhum(a). O "not" diz simplesmente que "não há". Nota-se, então, que a diferença está na ênfase do "no" em "there is no".

No caso da frase: "There's no way out" a tradução seria: Não há nenhuma saída ou Não há saída?
E é necessário o uso do any? A seguinte frase estaria errada? "There aren't chairs in the room."

"Não há saída" soa mais natural. Também poderia ter essa tradução "Estamos sem saída!" mas tudo vai depender do contexto.

Sugiro "There aren't any chairs in the room". Ou, em outro contexto, "I can't see any chairs in the room". Num caso ou noutro, a frase com any soa mais natural.

Também poderíamos dizer/escrever: "There are no chairs in the room". Estranha ou curiosamente, não encontrei na Internet exemplos com a estrutura "I/you/he/she/we/you/they can see no chairs in the room".
