Three-month or Three months`s?

Frase retirada do livro "How do you say" de Roberto Igreja.

Ex: "She'll go back to work in about three months' time."

Gostaria de saber se, nesse caso não deveria ser "three-month time". Já que, ao meu ver, é um adjetivo caracterizando o tempo em que ela retornará ao trabalho. Queria saber qual seria a melhor formulação desta sentença.

Good question indeed, it has something things to be learned here, huh?

This is called the genitive case - or possessive case, but it doesn't mean actual possession here. It's about a word changing the meaning of another one.
And yes 'three months' time" is correct.
