People x Folks: Qual a diferença?
Hoje eu estava estudando e fui ver a tradução de folks e deu que era pessoas. Então qual a diferença entre people e folks?

People é de longe o termo mais comum (dos dois) para se dizer "pessoas", "pessoal", em contextos como estes:
- There are many people in the stadium.
- People are unpredictable.
- They're good people.
- Is it OK if I call my folks?
Posso ligar para minha família?
- That's all for now, folks.
Por enquanto é só, pessoal.

Se me permite observar, há uma diferença entre "Isso é tudo pessoal!" e "Isso é tudo, pessoal!" (Uma vírgula faz diferença).Narezi escreveu:[...] Isso é tudo pessoal.
Uma vez fui falar "Hello folks!" para uns jovens da Califórnia e eles me responderam: " - Hi grampa!" e eu não sou velho. Hahah eu acho que folks já não é mais usado atualmente na Califórnia entre os jovens hahaha. Folks, talvez seja um termo usado para pessoas mais idosas. O que você acham?

It depends, I think that in some situations it could be used, but it´s rarer these days indeed (I think it´s used certainly in more formal ways).
Anyway, in informal/colloquial settings you can use "dudes/buddies/guys" and other words instead of "folks".
"That´s all folks" would be understood because it´s a fixed expression.
On the other hand, don´t use "guys" with a group of people from the UK (message board, for example), the women of the group would take offense and state that they don´t like to be called "guys". At least if you are not long acquainted to the group. And even if you are, if the group is of a certain age bracket.
That is, when in doubt, be on the safe side.
