  • BS = bosta (Don't believe anything he says. He is full of BS.) (I was late to class, but I gave the teacher a BS excuse about an illness in the family, and he didn't say another word.)
  • BS = Bachelor of Science
  • BA = Bachelor of Arts
  • CPA = Certified Public Accountant
  • DDS = Doctor of Dental Surgery
  • SS = Social Security
  • IRS = Internal Revenue Service (Receita Federal)

Um professor usou recentemente a sigla TBD ao agendar uma reunião comigo. O objetivo dele era apenas reservar o horário para evitar um conflito na agenda. Depois que definimos a pauta da reunião o título foi alterado.

Sendo assim:
  • TBD – To be determined (algo a ser decido, ou determinado)
Duas outras siglas na mesma linha são:
  • TBA – To be announced (a ser anunciado)
  • TBC – To be confirmed (a confirmar)
