Informalmente você pode ouvir: Your girlfriend is American?

Uma ressalva off topic porém aproveitando o gancho da nacionalidade: toda vez que escuto ou leio North American, sempre estão se referindo aos nativos dos Estados Unidos, mas ninguém se lembra dos canadenses, que para mim, tecnicamente também são North Americans.
