A- Fui conduzido até a esfinge;
B- Fui conduzido (para algum lugar), passando pela esfinge?
Se a resposta for a A, a lógica de tradução dessas outras três estruturas ran past (passou correndo por), walked past (passou andando por) e went past (passou por) não funciona em led past, pois nelas o sujeito passa pelo objeto, mudando só a forma pela qual isso acontece.
