Be better off for all - Tradução em português

Olá,

Sei que a tradução da expressão to be better , seria estar melhor.

Mas quando essa expressão vem junto de for all ou with all, ela pode significar a ausência de algo? Vi que a frase: "I don't know, maybe he is better off with all the loonies.", traduzida, ficaria: "Não sei, se calhar ele fica melhor sem aqueles lunáticos."

Como ficaria esta frase?

"that is a translation of the texts, but no one should imagine that we'll be better off for all this 'change.'"

Rafael, your translation seems like being a suggestion from a translation from some search engine...
Indeed "(be) better off" more often than not means "estar em melhor situação" (financeira/social etc).
It could be translated into "com mais dinheiro/com mais riqueza/estar melhor/ficar OU estar melhor/ser preferível, etc"

So, in this context, perhaps "I don´t know, maybe he is better off with all the loonies." would be better translated this way (or something close to that):
Maybe even it would be even better this way:
(in the sense that if he hanged around with said loonies he would be now better off.)
Sometimes a better translation is not the literal one, but depends on context, of course"

A segunda frase ficaria:

We'll be better off for all this change.'"

As for the following:

"that is a translation of the texts, but no one should imagine that we'll be better off for all this 'change.'"

In this sentence, it works in the sense of "as a result of/due to...", etc. So, let´s see some similar examples:

We may have completed all both our freshers and refreshers fayres (sic) for the year and after massive success at both, the club is even better off for all the hard work!

I for one hope that they are better off for all you have given them.

After posting, I saw that Andrezza has given a very apt translation, congrats!
