Get out in front of - Tradução em português

Estava eu assistindo uma série quando me deparo com essa sentença falada pelo personagem "we gotta get out in front of this lice thing" se referindo ao fato de seus filhos estarem com piolho. Eu dei uma pesquisada mas só achei "out in front of" no sentido de estar na frente de alguém ou estar ganhando algo que não terminou de forma confortável. Presumi que no contexto poderia ser "resolver" "lidar" alguém poderia me ajudar nesse idiom?

Hey there.

Quote:

Think of the problem as a runaway horse. You can get out in front of it and head it off, or you can go along behind it and pick up the mess.

But it also means something else, like:

The "out" means "not hidden", really.

If you are on a stage with several other people, you can 'get out in front of the others' by moving your body to the front of the stage in front of the others, so that the audience can see you.

It really depends on the context, and this one is a tricky sentence.

I hope it helps a little bit.

Cheers!

Well, let´s see the following translation:

“Citrix and NetApp share a vision of providing flexible IT infrastructures that allow customers to quickly realize the business benefits of virtual computing, and giving them the ability to capitalize on new opportunities and innovate to get out in front of the competition.

See?
Listen, we got to get out in front of this lice thing with Lisa.
Escuta, precisamos estar à frente nessa coisa/nesse assunto do piolho com Lisa.
...precisamos falar com ela sobre isso antes que alguém mais chegue e o faça. (por alguma/qualquer razão)

In other words, "we need to let Lisa know about it before others get there and say that to her. ", for some reason. Sometimes is better that someone get to talk about something, e.g. With higher ups, before they know about that by others.

Thanks Joarez, for touching the concept of "chegar à frente/na frente", it was of help to have get to the right reasoning faster!
