The human gender would cover that one in some respects. Or, then the masculine or feminine sex (or male vs female or just men vs women etc).
In English, I don´t think they give much thought to this way of speaking "bicho-homem" or "bicho mulher", they would use it more in terms of gender - in the above ways. So, let´s say the idiomatic way used in certain regions "o bicho homem é complexo" could be translated into "men are complex beings." OR
(why men are men so complicated?).

Other than that we are going to the realm of taxonomy, but then the man is not taken as an "island', he will one of the parts of the animal kingdom, with no special reference (in separate ways, I mean).

That is, assuming that I have understood your question.

All in all, I ask again what would be the best way of expressing "BICHO-HOMEM" in English if you were to CREATE a new cool way of transmitting that train-of-thoughts already mentioned in our dialogues?

Thanks !

Hello, me again.

Em ANIMAL MAN, o sujeito é MAN.

Obrigado !

Suit yourself, we are glad to know new ways of expressing things and will be glad to learn of them.
I appreciate your approval of my thoughts and comments, thank you. Now I will leave the ball now on your court (on the court of EE members as well) and will keep my eyes peeled for novelties in the neologism camp. ;-)

Of course, if you post your essay or chunks of it (preferably in English-Portuguese form) we can get your thoughts better. So we will be more precise and get to more definite words and concepts to express things.
This way we could see the tree from the woods and see where it would need specific comments and suggestions.
Hi PPAULO.
As promised, it follows below a small part of the beginning of my eBook (already published in portuguese), so that you can see the MALE HUMAN ANIMAL (best way I found to express BICHO-HOMEM) in context :
-
Human Animal is, in essence, any human being, regardless of its gender. Although this book is directed to the MALE HUMAN ANIMAL in love (or about to fall in love), when it comes to love you will be impressed by the similarities involving the emotional blocks of all types of Human Beings. In short, we are all alike (we all want to love and be loved, even if we do not admit it).
This reading is especially suitable for the following types of human animals:
• for those who have already been burned in love before and maybe have come to avoid love or deeper relationships;
• for those who haven’t yet been burned in love and want to avoid certain pitfalls;
• for those who got too comfortable in a relationship and are unhappy, not even knowing which way to go and sometimes afraid to harm their partner;
• for those who are happy with the partner, but still fascinated by someone else;
• for those who are afraid of surrendering to love (although they don’t recognize it);
• for those who are fascinated by the "wrong" person and are thinking of giving up trying;
• for those who think that love is a purple flower born in the heart of fools;
...
... Etc
-
This last sentence yet to be modified into a more suitable and known expression in English (for people who make fun about love) - which I didn't find yet.

Thanks for any comment about my writing.

Yep, in passing, I skimmed your first two paragraphs, so far so good. One caveat, though - the P in Portuguese is always capitalized.
