Toronto Sunrise and Sunset

I notice that sunrise today in Toronto was at 7:26 A.M., and sunset will be at 7:27 P.M. That means that we're back to 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness. By midsummer, we'll have first light at something like 4:15 A.M., and 'last light' at about 9:15 P.M. By winter, it's the opposite, and the lack of natural light can be oppressive, and you can't make up for it with indoor lighting, it seems.

Do you react to too little light as well?

I suspect this is not an issue if you're closer to the Equator and there is little seasonal variance in the length of your days and nights.
