Take a look at this.
Someone out there is reading my couch-potato mind: There's now a pill that mimics (some) of the effects of exercise. The key here, of course, is "some of the effects." Sadly, it appears that I might not be able to cancel my gym membership just yet.
I have found out the following definition for couch-potato.
couch-potato= A person who spends a lot of time sitting or lying down, often watching television, eating snacks and drinking alcohol.
Funny! Is there any word in Portuguese for that?

Recentemente ensinei esta expressão ás minhas alunas e elas gostaram muito.Não conheço um equivalente exato em Portugues.Eu falo:Viciado(a)em televisão.
:é normal a gente sentir a necessidade de um termo correspondente em Portugues.Dá mais segurança,identificação.Esse é um dos motivos pelo qual defendo um pouco mais as metodologias que fazem uso do Portugues.Voce dá uma certa "vida" ao que é ensinado.
