Tradução de crônica para o inglês

Olá amigos do EE!

Where was the referee when France scored the equalizer?

What do you think about the idea of soccerplayers who are so honest that they’d scream to the referee: “stop the match, it was my foul!”? That’s not real and there actually isn’t any sign that this will happen someday but it’d really come in handy, especially in situations like the match between France and Ireland a few weeks ago, when France striker Thierry Henry clearly handled the ball before crossing it through the goal area so that his teammate William Gallas not only scored the winner but also spoiled the Irish chances to go to South Africa next year.
Henry obviously didn’t have a reaction like the one described at the beginning of this article but he admitted having touched the ball with his hand even though it hadn’t been on purpose, according to him.
That’s a topic that has been being discussed since the end of the match and it certainly has legs. However, there’s nothing to do right now unless FIFA changed its mind and scheduled another match but, listen up all Irishmen! It’s official now! FIFA has announced its decision on the case and, not surprisingly, the final score will be kept as well as the Irish tears.
I haven’t the slightest idea what they’ve taken into account but here is the verdict: France has booked its place in World Cup finals at the land of the vuvuzelas.
Was it fair? I dunno. Does Ireland deserve the berth? Don’t even ask me because there is too much polemic surrounding the case.
You know something? I only know Brazil will be there and that’s all what matters, at least to me!
