Também podemos trocar em miúdos de outra forma:
As ilustrações (coloridas a que se refere no início do parágrafo) foram selecionadas de forma que foram distribuídas proporcionalmente/igualmente por todo o livro. [também poderia ser "...bem distribuídas, de igual forma (por igual em todo o livro) por todo o livro."
(especialmente quando complementando os desenhos (que fiz) em preto e branco OU acompanhadas pelos desenhos em preto e branco.)/em conjunção com os desenhos em preto e branco.
Eu entendi assim, mas podem me corrigir se eu estiver equivocado.
