I would write this text like this:

Effects of muscle strengthening exercises on improving the balance and reducing the risk of falls in the elderly.

Minha sugestão:

The effects of pumping iron on the improvement of balance and lowering the risk of falls among the elderly.

Até mais.
Oi Lucimar, uma observação,

a expressão "muscle strengthening exercises" é bem formal e técnica.
a expressão "pumping iron" é, em contra partida, extremamente informal.

O meio termo seria: bodybuilding

E Titulo será usado em artigo científico, precisa ser formal!
Existe uma palavra que defina musculação?
Neste caso é melhor utilizar a opção indicada pela professora Telma: muscle strengthening exercises

I suggested "muscle strengthening exercises" to be more in line with Physiotherapy techniques because of the context. You wouldn't ask someone in their eighties, for example, to go to a gym and lift heavy weights.
