A traduçao é essa mesmo... "take" é levar mas não é assim que funciona, há diferentes formas de se expressar uma ideia e não se deve traduzir palavra por palavra numa frase e sim a ideia toda, essa é a ideia de "gone with the wind". "O vento levou/ se foi com o vento, etc...Pense em algo que o vento assopra e leva embora, no sentido literal da frase. O nome do filme pode ter outro significado, mas essa é tradução.

I think imagery would help. If we think something almost weightless - a leaf fluttering in the winds until it disappears - when it isn't there anymore it's gone with the wind... Or a sheet of paper suddenly taken out of your hands by the wind when you tried to read it.

Actually, the title comes from what Scarlet O'hara stated:
Scarlett O'Hara uses the title phrase when she wonders if her home on a plantation called "Tara" is still standing, or if it had "gone with the wind which had swept through Georgia."
Ref. en.wikipedia

Metaphorically something gone with the wind means something lost. Literally, it would be something swept away by the wind (in a hurricane for example).

By the way, "gone" is a common way to express that the person, thing or situation is no more or doesn't exist any longer, as it the case with Scarlett's sentence. So, it the title comes from the sentence it couldn't be replaced it for "took".

The sentence metaphorically would mean that the farm would 'have been gone for good'. Something more definite, than "took" here. Whereas you 'take' something to places, it's something you know somehow the whereabouts of it.

Ao pé da letra:

- Gone with the wind: Ido com o vento

That's it!
