I listened to the song and read through the lyrics. It is a transcript of a phone call. I think that the caller was reporting what had happened at the bar or club. I think he was trying to explain that the hug that the angry boyfriend witnessed was innocent. I think he was trying to explain that the girl had been sad, and that he had embraced her only to comfort her. It sounds like the jeaous boyfriend actually broke a chair in a fit of jealous anger when he broke up with his girlfriend, after witnessing the embrace. He apparently misinterpreted the hug. The caller was trying to make things right by telling him what really happened. The girl was not cheating on her boyfriend, but just seeking solace from a friend when she was sad.

Não tenho a letra para interpretar com 100% de precisão,mas 'You´d kicked up a row' pode ser traduzido como "Você fez um estardalhaço","fez um barraco".'You crushed a chair and did your stuff' equivale a 'Você quebrou uma cadeira e fez aquilo tudo'.

"Do your stuff" frequentemente significa "fazer o seu tipo de coisa", ou "a coisa típica sua", e não precisa ter sentido negativo, como, por exemplo, em

"When I pass him the ball near the goal I know he will do his stuff."
"No one else does that stuff on horseback."

Eu entendi toda a historia, mas nestes dois trechos fiquei em duvida. Acredito que se encaixa o que o Donay disse: fazer um barraco, estardalhaço. O "did your stuff" não fez muito sentido mas deve ser assim mesmo, afinal, pode fazer sentido pra eles e nao pra nós.
