Push somebody's buttons - Tradução em português
olá pessoal, escutei hj em um episódio de "friends" algo parecido com: This guy really pushes my buttons" e na legenda em portugues apareceu: este cara me tira do sério.
Nunca tinha escutado esta espressão.. É isso mesmo o significado? Temos outras formas de dizer isto?
Obrigado

Eduardo,
Sim, tirar do sério é uma possibilidade. Outras traduções possíveis são "provocar", "mexer com", "irritar", etc.
''Pushing somebody's buttons means to provoke, by picking on issues that are sensitive to the person whose "buttons are being pushed". It may also be intended to excite rather than provoke negatively. In either case it means to manipulate a person's feelings and sensitivities.'' - Wordreference

Also, it can be done accidentally.
He pushed my buttons when he talked about the death of his dog. I love dogs, and mine was killed by a drunk driver last week.
