Eu vi em uma letra de música e não consegui entende-la.
My mother went to town to buy a little bike
And when she see the price she nearly loose her sight.

Perhaps it is just a wordplay with the expression "to cost an eye and a leg". Only that "bike" rhymes with sight, whereas it wouldn´t do with "eye" or "leg".
Sometimes songs don´t necessarily have to make much sense, indeed.

Mantendo a rima:
Minha mãe foi à cidade comprar uma bicicleta
E quando ela viu o preço quase ficou cega*.
*porque era super cara.

I would go for "ela quase perdeu os olhos da cara." (assuming she bought the bike, so it cost a leg and an eye...)
But then, in Portuguese it could be translated into a number of things.
