I found out that Shep O'neal is the name of a character (personagem) in an American short story. It was created by the American writer Samuel Langhorne Clemens, better known by his pen name "Mark Twain", who was one of the most important writers from USA.
Actually, Shep O'neal is the narrator and with that information we can translate your sentence into Portuguese:
