Transformar adjetivos em substantivos em inglês
Hi, people! I've got a dude about "adjectival nouns", I need to know if it's allowed in english like in portuguese and if the adjective can go to the plural in some cases. Bellow, I will give a example of this:
Can I say, for instance, "The smarts are more attractive" (Os inteligentes são os melhores)?
Thanks =D

The smart (sem "s") are...
The intelligent can move mountains without flexing a single muscle.
The dead told the living no tales.
The living told the dead not to go to hell.
Notar que em nenhum desses casos acrescentamos "s" aos coletivos". (Os coletivos levam o verbo para o plural).

Thank you a lot =)
But is it also right if I said "The smart ones are more attractives"? The meaning is the same yet?

Sugestão:
Usar "The smart ones are more attractive".
Mais:
The good ones pay for the bad.
They are intelligent.
The rich: os ricos
The poor: os pobres
Sem o "s".

Y_portes, we have a problem.
The word "smarts" exists but it does NOT mean "os inteligentes"; it means "a intelegência".
It is an informal word, more or less a "gíria".
O homem e a mulher intelegentes = the smart ones
O Marcos tem a intelgência para fazer o trabalho = Marcos has the smarts (brains, intelligence) to do the job.
