Uso de "due"

Pessoal,
Meu teacherzinho é bem criativo e pediu pro pessoal da minha turma reescrever um texto completando com as devidas palavras faltantes (na maioria das vezes, artigos e preposições), além de corrigir conjugação dos verbos.
Travei num trecho por causa da palavra "due".
O texto é sobre as atrações de uma cidade turística.
local people / be / very / enthusiastic / increase / tourism, / as / can / be / see, / this part / country / have / plenty / potential / development / both / summer and winter / resort area, / due / combination / natural beauty / possibilities / offer / town / the mountains.
(se possível peço que tentem fazer sem olhar a minha tentativa abaixo, para não influencia-los...)
My attempt:
Local people is very enthusiastic about increasing tourism, and as it can be seen, this part of the country has plenty potential of development both in summer and winter / resort area, / due / combination of natural beauties and the possibilities offered both in the town and in the mountains.
p.s.: pode ser que a minha divisão entre as frases esteja errada (assim como os demais "complementos"); as vírgulas me confundiram bastante porque elas estão justamente em lugares que eu teria usado um ponto final!

I thought of, "... due to a combination of..." Doesn't it make sense?

"bloqueios" do cérebro... eu achava que o "due" tinha alguma coisa a ver com o "resort area", até mesmo porque eu não tinha pensado em "in the resort area" como continuação de "winter" pq eu achava que aquela frase já tava grande demais.

I think I'd stick with "of natural beauty and the possibilities offered by the town and... ". This is a nice exercise.
