Como dizer "se propõe a fazer" em inglês

Hi everyone,

Sometimes I want to say something like "Temos que ser sérios com as coisas que nos propomos a fazer" or similar, but I get stuck. Does anyone here could give me a hand on that?

Thanks in advance.

We gotta be serious with stuff [which] We propose to do.

I hope it helps.

I don't know why, but I don't think "propose" sounds very natural. At least I haven't heard any native speakers using it too often.

I'd wait for a few more suggestions. :)

Hello, everyone!
My suggestion is:
To commit = To promise or give your loyalty, time, or money to a particular principle, person, or plan of action. (Um de seus vários sinificados)

...we commit to do.
