Como dizer "Vai ser muito bom colocar o papo em dia com você!"?

Estaria correto dizer "It will be so nice to catch up with you"?

I am looking forward to catching up with you

Somehow I find it that the "nice" word sounds slightly more natural in the past tense (in this case/sentence specifically):
It's been so nice catching up with you.

But then, it's my thinking here, others may think different. And that's okay to me.
