A opção a ser usada em relação a aulas (comparecer a aulas, assistir aulas na escola, faculdade, etc) é "attend" (attend a class). Você só usaria "watch a class" se fosse pela televisão ou internet (YouTube, por exemplo).

Attending merely means you turn up, e.g., you may go to the meeting but simply sit and watch and listen without adding anything yourself.
Watching simply has a lot to do with using one's eyes exclusively to perceive or become aware of non-abstract things, y'know, things you can touch, hold, grab or eventually use.
Taking part in the meeting implies becoming involved in the meeting usually with OP.

Desculpa, mas ainda está confuso para mim. Vou mudar a pergunta então: eu poderia utilizar "watch a class" em vez de "attend a class" ?? Se sim, qual seria a diferença entre watch a class e attend a class?
