What do you think about euthanasia?

I feel that Euthanasia, AKA mercy killing, is such a controversial issue which in my humble opinion is a fair option for those who are in a vegetative state. Think about those cases in which the person has an injury or illness that cannot be cured. I'm a 100% sure you wouldnt like to be in the person's shoes so why do you think it is plausible that you choose what is best for him or her? If only you could put youself in his/her place, and see how it feels...

I agree with your statement, and applaud the use of plusible in this contex. The only nitpick that I could find in your post was the typographical error of not puting the " ' " in wouldn't.

I strongly disapprove of it. I'd place euthanasia on the same level as murder. And I agree with ponde: you'd have to stand and perhaps walk a bit in the shoes of a terminally ill patient to see what getting yourself killed or getting someone to kill you feels like.

Let life ebb away if you can't fix it up, but not outright kill the patient. And wave him good-bye.

Yes, of course I do not approve it too. But, if the person is severely ill and suffering from an unbearable endless pain which no medication can ease it enough to live her/his life with dignity ? In this situation,what would you do if the person(who is ill) asks you to put her/him to death??

It's a subject very hard to discuss, but I found an answer in the life's book. although many people don't know it, neither believe on it, I believe on it becouse I've learned that the Bible is my Lord speaking!!!

Nobody likes of suffering, but it doesn't make be correct to decide if a person is ready to die, many times the Lord's intention are reveal through the suffering of one person.

See now, I myself am he; there is no other God but me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: and no one has power to make you free from my hand. Dt 32:39

I'm sorry for my english, it isn't very good but one day I will get there.

It's a hard matter to discuss however, since there is a lot of religious and nonreligious beliefs in the world, the only answer to this dilemma is to give the choice to patients, families and doctors to decide together about what would be the right choice in a particular case.

Hello Jerry. Let me do a little nitpicking myself. Your sentence contains a surplus of. You might consider dropping the of then.

As for euthanasia, I still consider it murder whether the parents or the patient do not like it.

I agree with to use euthanasia. If the person is so bad and the doctor can´t found a solution her/his ill and both or doctor and family agree about this, I think is better, because the patient and family are very suffering.

I think that patient can choose for use or doesn´t use, the life is his, He decide what is better for him.

This is my opinion.

I'm against euthanasia, I think that, even when we are suffering and dying, we can't... we don't have the right to take anyone's life out, God gave us the life and we can't contradict him. Getting out of the God part: in the last few moments of a person's life, even in the last few minutes, the person can think about his life and review what he did wrong and what he didn't, these moments serve to the being human regret what he did wrong, this can relieve the person's fate and to where he's going to after life, to a better place or a worse one. So I'm against euthanasia and so does everybody in my religion: spiritism.

I agree with the use of euthanasia, but this issue it's hard to discuss when there's a lot of opinions based on religion or in principles. I think euthanasia should be only cogitated in some special cases, whether the patient is terminally illness or if there's nothing more to do medically etc.
In my opinion, and with all respect, people(believers or not) shouldn't put religion in the subject. Let's just imagine how it would you feel if you couldn't move any limb or even talk to your daughter, kiss your wife and couldn't see your own family, or if you were terminally illness suffering from a endless pain and knowing that will die in anyway. Would you like a life like that?

It's complicated but I think what the person shouldn't do it's only one life fast,especially,wonderful so it's wrong make it, but each person has your choice.
