Question: Would you buy a hybrid car?

My answer:

Not yet. Though the advantages exceed the disadvantages, I prefer to wait some more years, when the disadvantages are even less significative.

Now it's your turn!

It's possible to read about them in a lot of magazines, web sites, newspapers and so on. Those hybrids represent a good alternative to those ones concerned about the environment and also worried about some fuel economy. The future of this option of vehicle will depend on a higher interest of consumers. Let's see if in the next few years this market will receive more attention and not only be an experiment.

"Hybrid cars, though useful, have some disadvantages. The point to be noted here is that the advantages far exceed the disadvantages.

High cost: hybrids cost anywhere from $2,000 to $5,000 more their non-Hybrid versions.
More weight due to battery packs.
Some states charge additional fees for registration.
In the event of an unfortunate accident, there is a risk of exposure to high voltage wires.
They have a complicated system which needs to be taken care of by experienced mechanics only.
Spare parts maybe hard to find and may be costly.
Usually, hybrids have a lower acceleration than that their normal counterparts."

Yes, I would. Hybrid car makers now produce even better versions of hybrid cars. But co$tly a$ hybrid car$ may $eem, I'd rather wait a bit around till prices lower and only then move on to buy one.
Without a doubt, as long as it will: go from 0 to 100 KmPH in 3.4 seconds, have a top speed of 330 KmPH, get about 15 KmPL of fuel, have a range of over 850 Km, run on diesel, bio fuel, natural gas or liquid petroleum gas, looks great and emit less than one third of the CO2 as the current Toyota Pirius.

Impossible you say? The new Jaguar concept car will do all that, and will accelerate faster than a Lamborghini, has a top speed greater than a Ferrari, and is absolutely stunning in the styling department.

To plagiarize Marcio, of cour$se the price at thi$ time will be a$tronomical to $ay the lea$t.

I think I will buy two, one for me and one for Cristina.
Yeah, I don't see why not. I think that any kind of power resource is good as long as it's not dangerous for the environment. We should open our minds to new technologies .

Yes, I would. Essentially because it is less dangerous to the environment and I guess the technology is ok, but first of all the price has to fall down.
First, I would buy a car, I haven't yet. After, I if I have money, I could buy a hybrid car, maybe, I would have to look more carefully.
