Sempre que assisto a filmes americanos ou ingleses eles sempre usam um copo de agua para escovar os dentes na pia, tem alguma razão para eles não escovarem usando a torneira?

There´s nothing against brushing the teeth in the States like everywhere else.
They even advise turning off the tap while brushing them.

To kids, it´s advisable to use glass, or even grown-ups that feel they can´t help it.
And with a glass in hand you can go everywhere, you couldn´t obviously with the tap in hand!
So, from now on, I decide to turn off the tap and use a glass to hold a small amount of water for rinsing my mouth to manage water more efficiently and have less impact on the environment.
