Qual diferença entre tights e pantyhose?
Gostaria de saber a diferença entre as duas, o que eu sei é que tights é usado no britânico e pantyhose no americano, mas também pode ser usado tights.

Today, the words pantyhose and stockings can be used interchangeably with tights. Tights were short for ""tight-fitting breeches, " (from the beginning of the 19th century).
Pantyhoses and tight are measured in "deniers" (the measure of thickness in tights), so technically pantyhoses would measure between 8 and 30 deniers, and tights would measure 40 - 100 deniers.
“Tights” is also the term for the stretchy leg-wear worn by dancers and acrobats, sported under a leotard or tutu or any other type of costume. The ones for dancers, for instance, don't go all the way to waistline.
Some Americans seems like having associated the sound "panty" in pantyhose with the sound of "panties" (that is - undies, knickers, what you have). So, these days "pantyhoses" are being called "nylons" (or even tights) in America, as well. Sometimes they also call it "threads" or "threads tights".
