Weird x Strange: Como utilizar

Oi de novo á todos! 
tenho mais uma dúvida e agora é com as palavrinhas Weird x Strange
são palavras com o mesmo sentido, mas gostaria de saber qual é o momento certo de uso para cada uma;
e qual é a diferença existente entre elas. Tudo oque eu achei foi isso:
weird is something you think about for a while, and is more eye catching, strange is just something you notice for a second, then stop paying attention to......

Procurei no dicionário de cambridge, e no Dictionary.com para termos uma idéia.

Como disse, também tenho a mesma dúvida, mas lendo as definições o weird seria o nosso "esquisito" e o strange nosso "estranho", tendo, inclusive, o uso como substantivo e adjetivo nos mesmos momentos.

Apenas para complementar,"weird" e "strange" podem ser sinônimos na grande maioria dos casos."Weird" me parece ser um pouco mais informal.Deve-se levar em conta a tendência natural de se usar uma ou outra dependendo do contexto,do uso de algumas expressões consagradas.Vejam:
