Chumbar = to pluck; to braize; to fix something (on something).
Calçar (algo para mantê-lo aberto) = to wedge (something pen).
Parafusar; atarrachar algo em algo = to screw something on / onto something.
Example:
Esse portão é um pouco pesado, então não recomendo que você o parafuse. A melhor opção é calçar e chumbá-lo na parede.
