Olá, pessoal.
Preciso fazer a tradução de um texto que contém esta expressão. O contexto é:
"No regime moderno de historicidade, o homem e a mulher deixam de ser analisados somente pelo "crivo da razão", para serem percebidos também em suas subjetividades e em seus pertencimentos abrindo ao pesquisador novas maneiras de compreendê-los. "
Alguém poderia me dar um help?

In the light/view/thought of modern historicity, the men and women( or "the individual/subjects") are not only analized critically only by the "scrutiny of the reason". To be understood one has to see them through the filters of their subjectivities; along with their interaction, roles, status, engagement and their identifying with the several groups which they might belong.
Just a suggestion, it can be seen, interpreted, in many ways.
For example, one can find that "only the scrutiny of the reason is not enough to analize the individual" which is somehow different from going in opposite way from some "old school of thinking". Whereas the previous wording suggests a breaking with the status quo of the "prevailing" thinking up to now.
I am just a learner, other academy-savvy members might comment on.
